Description
Album: The Devil Isn't Red
Label: 5 Rue Christine
Artist: HeLLa

HeLLa's second album, an incredible evolution from "Hold your horse is" they took a really long time to make this one too, in 2003 HeLLa was really busy touring, tho in the middle of 2003 they did manage to release 2 EPs while they toured & worked on this album Zach also got busy with Greg and made nervous cop (which took like a year to make apparently) anyways after much wait they finally dropped this and as expected a lot of people liked it, with 5 Rue Christine making the CDs & Touch and Go records distributing them AND suicide squeeze making the vinyls for this, this CD also includes a secret pregap track! its the Demo of "Your DJ Children", its a very nice track, i always play it first as an opener when i put the CD on, its very good,

As for how this sounds, its crazy how much i dont listen to these original albums from HeLLa, it sounds so good, it gives me such a nostalgic vibe from the time i listend to it, idk how to explain it but when i listen to something i havent heard in a while i just get a nostalgia smell on my nose its not there but the vibe and idk some smell that isnt there appears, its just so good, i love this album, the drumming, the guitar, my god, they really were ahead of their time i dont have a favorite track, all of it is so good, maybe "Exept No Subs" but thats it, the addition of electronics/samples on some tracks are so nice, i love it, great album, thats all i can say (also the backtray art is not my favorite only because its impossible to read anything but thats the only thing i hate)
